About Texas Transparency Hub
Mission
Texas Transparency Hub exists to make government information more accessible to the public. We archive public records requests submitted under the Texas Public Information Act and publish the documents released by Texas government agencies.
By creating a searchable archive of requests and releases, we aim to help journalists, researchers, and the public understand what information has been requested, which agencies responded, and what was disclosed. Transparency makes oversight easier.
We believe public records belong to the public. This archive is a resource for everyone who wants to hold government accountable and stay informed about how public institutions operate.
Our Principles
Accuracy
We post documents exactly as received from agencies. We do not alter, edit, or interpret the contents of released records.
Sourcing
Every request in our archive includes complete source information: the agency it was sent to, the date submitted, the date acknowledged, and the date fulfilled or denied. You can verify the authenticity of every document.
Privacy
We avoid republishing sensitive personal information, even if it was included in a released public record. We respect all redactions made by agencies and do not attempt to reverse or circumvent them.
Minimal Editorializing
We let the records speak for themselves. Our role is to organize and present information, not to interpret or add commentary. Users should draw their own conclusions.
