Texas Transparency Hub

A public archive of Texas public records requests and releases.

What This Is

Texas Transparency Hub is a volunteer-run archive documenting public records requests submitted under the Texas Public Information Act. We collect, organize, and publish requests and their outcomes to make government information more accessible to everyone.

Our goal is to create a searchable, public database of Texas public records requests—showing what's been requested, which agencies responded, and what information was released.

What You'll Find at Launch

  • Request pages with timelines showing dates submitted, acknowledged, and fulfilled when available
  • Browse and filter by agency, county, or topic
  • Downloadable documents and agency responses
  • Simple search across all archived requests and metadata

How It Works

  • We submit public records requests under the Texas Public Information Act
  • Requests and responses are published based on materials received from agencies
  • All redactions made by agencies are respected and preserved
  • We avoid republishing sensitive personal information (such as home addresses or phone numbers), even if an agency inadvertently released it.
